little man turned four last week.
it's hard sharing a birthday where everyone lies about being irish,
wears green or gets pinched,
goes around kissing each other,
and feels the need to spend the day in a pub.
but he made the most of it...
he requested frootloops and then wanted breakfast in our bed so he could watch tv...
a little schoolwork and then i wanted to take pictures to really capture his essence and personality at four...
i think i got it...
but he did do one sweet one for mama...
then onto lunch and opening presents with daddy...
he's totally into dinosaurs and star wars...
of course, big bro had to make it dino vs. r2d2 wars...
ok, for real...this deli makes the most incredible sandwich but the ingredients are kept top secret.
it makes you wanna slap. yo. mama. (sorry, mom. but it's that good.)
and to top off there was an old classic in the parking lot...
my view in the rearview mirror on the way home...
home again, to make birthday cake.
here's how the conversation went:
me: bryce, what kind of cake do you want for your birthday?
bryce: orange.
it's amazing how much a little food coloring can make a kid's day...
cake is baked and then lafondue for birthday dinner is next.
here is how that conversation went:
me: bryce, where do you want to go for your birthday dinner?
bryce: that place where you cook your food.
(i think he had some serious input from the older siblings since he has never been there.)
big bro, once again, provided entertainment by re-enacting scenes from "rocky."
yoooooooo, adddriennnne....
no chocolate fondue tonight because orange cake, ice cream and the force waited at home...
the first official temper tantrum of four (aren't we suppose to be beyond this by now???)
happy birthday, buddy!
we still love you though!
